OK, I know everyone is keying in on that 1.5 second clip of Dirk Holding HB’s head, which is badass in it’s own right, but this could be significant.
The prototyping spheres are missing from the ring. In the beta session the queen’s ring looked like this:
Three spheres are white and active because John, Rose, and Dave had entered the session; the fourth one is still gray because Jade hadn’t prototyped her sprite yet. On the ring that The Condesce is wearing they’re just… gone. Did she remove them because she knew that the prototyping wouldn’t affect her? Possibly to prevent a rouge Dersite agent from ‘pulling a Jack’. Or maybe they never existed in the first place. That’s concerning, because if each session is a predestined self-fulfilling event, that means all of the alpha kids either fail to prototype pre-entry, or fail to enter the session altogether…
Also The Condesce is the new black queen and Betty Crocker. No one saw that coming hundreds of panels ago or anything.

the alpha session isn’t supposed to have anything prototyped.without having anything prototyped, the battlefield will stay how it is, like this:
this is the reason why jade took the prototyped battlefield with her - to replace the alpha one because it’s not going to be prototyped at all, which would make the game unwinnable.
